Stan Brown Steps Down
Stan Brown, President of Rock Resorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Company, has recently announced that he is going to be stepping down from his position as president, effective on the 19th of June. He is moving on to become the COO of Holiday Retirement Corporation, which is a provider of senior housing that has more than 300 different independent retirement communities located all across North America.
Stan Brown was originally appointed as the chief operating officer and executive vice president of Rock Resorts and Vail Resorts in June of 2007, and in October of 2008 he stepped up to become the president of the company. The company has not yet filled his position, but they have immediately begun a search to find a new president for the hospitality division of the company. A Chief Executive Officer by the name of Rob Katz is going to oversee operations in the interim.
After two years running the hospitality operations, Stan Brown has managed to help drive the growth and success of the Vail Resorts company. Although he is moving on to something new, Rob Katz and the rest of the Vail Resorts staff wish him well.
