Wednesday, Feb. 11 – Enjoy the stirring violin sensation Joshua Bell as he performs with Jeremy Denk, pianist.

Monday, Feb. 16 – Outgoing CSO music director, pianist Jeffrey Kahne will bring us an evening to remember.

Wednesday, Feb. 25 – Enjoy a performance by piano virtuoso Andreas Haefliger as flutist Marina Piccinini joins her in a spectacular evening of entertainment.

Saturday, March 14 – Simone Dinnerstein returns to Aspen after her triumphant debut last summer, replacing Julian Rachlin.

Winter Recital Concerts begin at 6:30 pm. Concerts are held in Aspen’s impressive 500-seat Harris Concert Hall.

Glenwood Hot Springs New Years Eve Party

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

On December 31, grab your swimsuit and head to Glenwood Hot Springs Pool for the annual New Year’s Eve party. Closing time has been moved to 1:00 am. You’ll have extra time to enjoy the thermal hot springs, stargaze and spend time with friends and family. Revelers will receive noisemakers. We’ll have a final countdown of the last seconds of 2008. Visitors will also have a chance to enter a drawing. One lucky guest will receive a Glenwood Hot Springs pool season pass that is valued at $250.

The party at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and Athletic Club is extremely affordable. The all-day pool admission is $13.25 for adults and $9.25 for children aged 3-12. Mile High Holidays Tourism Campaign Promotes Denver as Winter Destination

From a press conference at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center today, Mayor John Hickenlooper encouraged Denver residents to “buy locally” and rediscover Denver. The Cherry Creek Shopping Center event began the “Mile High Holidays” marketing campaign. The campaign is a joint effort between Visit Denver, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the City of Denver and two-dozen partners. “Denver is the cultural, shopping,, nightlife, dining, sports and entertainment capital of the Rocky Mountain West “ according to Visit Denver President & CEO Richard Scarf. The “Mile High Holidays” campaign is a targeted, million-dollar-plus multifaceted effort aimed at promoting winter travel to the greater Denver area.

The 2008 Mile High Marketing Campaign includes:

Development of a joint website at www.milehighholidays.com which features information on all holiday events in the greater Denver area.

Targeted marketing in print, radio, television, online and broadcast.

Direct mail campaign

Magazine advertisements

Nearly 100 television commercial spots.

Billboards
